Dell Precision T5610 Upgrade
I have two questions:
Is it possible to upgrade a Dell precision T5610 with Xeon processors CPU E5-2650 v2 to some Xeon with AVX2?
Dell Precision T5610 can I configure it as a single processor with a single Dell Precision Xeon CPU E5-2650 v4?

Unfortunately, AVX2 extension is available with Haswell CPU and your system is limited to AVX with Xeon E5 v2 only. Xeon E5-2650 v4 is not compatible with your system.

Just a way Dell doing business, except for a very small selected models of machines can be upgraded to the next CPU version, Dell wants you to purchase newer system to get newer CPUs.
