Kingston Fury DDR4 3200 MHz 32 GB (1.35 V, XMP) memory in Dell Precision 3650 Tower

Hello everyone,

I’m planning a memory upgrade for my Dell Precision 3650 Tower and would appreciate some guidance.

I’m considering installing four Kingston Fury DDR4 3200 MHz 32 GB modules (model KF432C16BB2A/32, 1.35 V, XMP). I’m aware that the Precision 3650 does not support XMP profiles, so the system won’t run these at their advertised 3200 MHz speed.

My main question:
Will these modules operate reliably at the standard JEDEC 2666 MHz fallback speed on this system?

System details:

  • Model: Dell Precision 3650 Tower
  • BIOS version: 1.45.0
  • Planned configuration: 4 × 32 GB (128 GB total)

If anyone has tested similar Kingston Fury modules (especially 1.35 V XMP‑only RAM) in this workstation—or has guidance on voltage compatibility or downclocking behavior—I’d be grateful for your insight.

Thanks in advance!

More likely is the system won't even boot with the RAM installed -- and if it does, it'll default to its slowest speed (probably 2400).

Use the memory configurator here to select compatible RAM.
