Precision 3450 : what happened to BIOS 1.20.1 ?

So, on Nov 11th I downloaded the latest Precision 3450 BIOS because Dell Command Update told me there was version 1.20.1 (marked Critical), and I'm on 1.19.0

As a healthy precaution I never install it right away, but wait a month or so. Today I went to check for the latest Dell Command updates, and 1.20.1 is no longer proposed.

Neither on the support website.

https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-uk/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=n8y6k

Was something wrong with that BIOS update? Why was it pulled?

*curious*

Yes, it is to be expected Dell won't comment.
I was kind of hoping to see some user confirm there was an issue :)

(and hopefully without being affected..)

Anyway, looks like they released BIOD update 1.21.1 now, so that's that.

Gonna wait a bit ;-)

Your healthy precaution paid off.  Whatever the reason, something caused Dell to pull the firmware after it was posted.  Benign of not, Dell would never disclose the reason for the BIOS withdrawn.
