Precision T5820 CPU related questions
Hello, I have 2 T5820 workstations. One has a mainboard - 0x8dxd and the other one is - 002kvm. Can anyone tell me the maximum CPU I can install on each system?

They are both can support up to Xeon W-2195 processor.

The difference in MB part #'s possibly has to do with the RAM. 2666 MHz (Discontinued on system configurations purchased after October 2020).

@bradthetechnut , on the contrary, difference motherboard part numbers affected the supported CPU. The part number from OP's boards can only supported earlier Xeon W-21xx CPU. That was the reason for my response, the maximum CPU upgrade is Xeon W-2195.
Be mindful if OP taken your statement seriously and purchasing the newer fastest Xeon or Core X CPU just to find out they don't work.

@Chino de OroI I have the same problem as you. I have a Dell 002kvm and I wonder what processors will be compatible. Do I understand correctly that the Xeon W-2195 will be compatible with 002kvm? As part of your search, did you find a list of compatible processors or a key on how to interpret processors that will be compatible? Would you like to share your knowledge? Regards !
