T7910 Fan Question

Hi. I just purchased an older t7910 and noticed that the two smaller fans work fine, but the large fan is not spinning. In the bios setup, the system fans are set on auto, "0" . Is it possible that the large system fan only comes on under a load, or after the computer reaches a certain temp?
