M6800 built-in microphone
Hello,
I try to make the built-in microphone working under Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.
The mic is activated in the BIOS. I dowloaded the Audio_Driver_DFR6K_WN32_6.0.1.6098_A12 file and I installed it. All went fine. In the Windows sound settings, the input device indicates : Stereo Mix (Realtek High Definition Audio). The properties of this device is not disable as reported by Windows. The Volume of this device is about 90. In the sound control panel / Recording tab, the Stereo Mix device has a green tick mark.
However : the mic level is never moving.
I also went to the Microphone Privacy Settings to add the Voice Recorder in order to allow it using the mic. Voice Recorder records nothing from this mic.
If I plug an external microphone in the jack connector, it works as expected.
The built-in mic is also not working under Ubuntu 20.04.
Does built-in microphone work under Windows Pro 64 bit system ?
If yes, what to do ?

Hello,
I decided to buy another camera+dual array mic circuit and I mounted it inside my M6800. BIOS installed is the last one : A26.
Camera is working fine but the dual array mic is not even seen by Windows 10 64-bit. Of course I installed again Audio_Driver_DFR6K_WN32_6.0.1.6098_A12 that is validated for this OS but mic driver is not installed (No input devices found in the Sound settings).
In fact, checking / unchecking the option Enable Microphone (Bios settings : System Configuration / Miscellaneous Devices) does not make any differences for Windows (Device manager has not unknown devices requiring a driver). Dell sound GUI does not show the internal mic as if it never existed.
Bios A26 seems to not present the mic device at start-up.
Can somebody report a working internal mic on the M6800 machine whatever the OS used and with which firmware version ?
Can Dell staff comment on this ?
