Update bios 1.23.0 on Dell Precision 7670 or 7770

@Birdy92​ I have a Precision 7750 not 7670 or 7770 and updated the BIOS to the lastest version on 8/24/2024. I can tell you it's a disaster. The UI performance became very lagging. Even thought my laptop is still covered by 5-year warranty, the technical support seemed not care even to reply to my email.

So my advice is that unless there is serious issues preventing your Precision working properly, do NOT update the BIOS.

Please don't compare oranges to apples. Every Dell Precision model is different. Yes I am running the latest BIOS with all Dell Precision models from 7X40 to 7X80. What problems should I see today. Feeling is not enough. Any statistics before and after BIOS update would be nice. I know there has been definitely bad BIOS version in the history. But today the latest versions seems to work. But like always don't update new BIOS version during next few weeks after release date if you don't know how go back to previous version or you have just single device in use.

I have not seen any problems running 1.23 with Dell Precision  7670.  I use  mostly this specific model. But all depends your own environment and software in use.

@heikkuri​ I disagree. If openning a folder takes more than 1 second. it's not neccessary to use "statistic" any more. Again if you check Precission 7750/7550 BIOS 1.24 and you would find out how many users aren't able to use their laptops and for how long. Even your laptop is under warranty, Dell is unable to do anything. Like someone claims the laptop is the only tool for the job to make money, you would feel hopeless.
