DELL Photo AIO Printer 924 Drivers ??

Question

Hello, Where I can find linux drivers for this printer ? Or which drivers can I use ? Thanks, Regards fdp3

You can't because there aren't any. The drivers that are made for the 924 are win 2000, XP, and X64 and are on the disc that came with the printer new from Dell or on Dell's web site. So does this mean I can't use it with my Mac? I kept the printer when I sold my dell, I got a Mac because I'm a graphic artist, and it's what I use at work. Can I not use it though? Cause I keep getting a message that no Drivers are installed. So I am now on here trying to figure out how to do this.

I find that DELL printer are built by an other constructor and may be I can use the original constructor drivers under linux.

Does anybody know who build the "DELL Photo AIO Printer 924" ? Lexmark, HP, ...

It is built by Lexmark to Dell specs. It will only work with Dell drivers.

You know what!!! You all don't know as much as you think you do. YOU WERE WRONG!!!!!! Cause I found one! My DELL printer now works with my MAC COMPUTER!!!! Thanks to my wonderful IT guy at work.

As noted for the Dell AIO 944, none of the Dell/Lexmark Multifunction/All-In-One printers will work under Linux due to them being Host-based printers (offloading processing to the OS, much like Winmodems), which make them cheaper by not requiring a powerful processor in the printer. Along with their use of proprietary print data streams, that makes them difficult to support without official drivers, which are Windows-only.

How can I get that driver, or get it to work as you did? Because I too like my dell printer, but my dell is breaking, so I'm getting a macbook next week.  I don't feel like buying a new printer too, especially when this one works well for me.  So, how'd you get it to work? Thanks

I don't recall anyone here saying they got it to work.

There is another option though. One time a while back I found a utility that let you create a virtual Postscript printer on a windows PC that would take PS data and convert it into whatever your printer could understand. Then you just share the virtual printer and print to that share. You can even install microsoft's services for unix and share that virtual printer as an LPR printer.
