Office 365 uninstalled and lost Office 2024
Just bought a new Dell Latitude. I ordered it with Office 2024. I noticed when I got it that I had Office 365 on it. I also had icons for Word, Excel & PP. I wasn't going to use 365 so I uninstalled it. Now I don't have any Office on my new computer. No Word, Excel or PP icons to click on and my documents won't open. So what's up? Is Office 2024 bundled with 365? So if you delete 365 then it deletes all other Microsoft Office products?

Any I got a hold of Dell (India) and spent an hour with them and they finally got my office back on the computer that I bought from them. They gave me with a download link but I had to help them with sending a rocket to the moon, pushing Putin out of a window, getting China to stop bugging Taiwan and getting a selfie with Neil Young. Took a long time. They had to go check with someone else 5 times and put me on hold. What a hassle. After all of that then they sent me a link to download a fresh copy of Office 2024. The 365 was not put back on my computer. It's just so funny that I deleted 356 and lost my Office '24 in the first place.

Hi forjonny:
I did not purchase my MS Office 2019 license from Dell so I don't know if Dell is supposed to remove the 30-day trial version of Microsoft 365 before the computer is shipped from the factory when a user purchases their "perpetual" (non-subscription) license for MS Office 2021 / 2024 from Dell, but you might find some useful information in the Dell support article How to Find and Activate Microsoft Office 2019, 2021, 2024 or 365 on Your Dell Computer.
NOTE: In my case I wiped the trial version of Microsoft 365 off my Inspiron 5584 with the Microsoft 365 uninstall troubleshooter before installing the retail edition of MS Office 2019 I purchased at BestBuy to prevent any possible conflicts between those two programs.
Since you have a new Latitude computer I'll assume your service warranty has not expired yet. If that Dell support article doesn't help I'd suggest you contact Dell customer support directly. See shekharrs' 21-Jan-2025 solution in their topic MS Office Home and Student 2021 License Key, who used the Support tab of their SupportAssist program to create a service request with Dell after they were unable to activate their MS Office 2021 product purchased from Dell.
You can also contact Dell customer support by clicking the blue "Get Help Now" button in the bottom-right corner of each page on the forum to start a Live Chat. After you type in your question an automated chat bot will ask for your email address and the unique Service Tag of your Dell computer. Once it confirms you still have a valid service warranty it should connect you to a live customer service rep.
NOTE: I contacted Dell customer support via Live Chat a few times before the service warranty for my Inspiron 5584 expired and the Live Chat agents were never able to provide a viable solution to any of my problems. In my opinion, creating a service request via SupportAssist (or an online service request) is the better option.
This may not be relevant to your particular issue, but there have also been problems in the past with Dell's licensing servers that prevented users from activating MS Office products purchased from Dell. See employee Dell-Brad L's 13-Sep-2024 post in junaid3929's Ms office activation 21 first time activation on my new Inspiron 5440 and Dell techs unable to activate Office 2021 for one example.

When I bought a Dell laptop and a separate copy of Office, Dell parked a downloadable copy where I could go get it. They emailed me a link. Perhaps they also did that for you.
