"Dell EMC" chip that burnt up and caused rebooting

The server was rebooting and I noticed this chip was getting hot and has signs of being burnt. I removed it and its been running fine for a few days now. My question is, does anyone know what is it? and if the server should run without it.

If your server boots up right now you dont have configure SecureBoot for sure.  So.. i would run without it.  The TPM was always a optional thing.

Today its more important for sure and when speaking about ESXi you need TPM 2.0 or up for example.

I dont expect that you wanna install Windows 11 on your server ;)

Yes, you can buy a new TPM if you like.
