Dell R740 idrac license import failure LIC016

Question

Hello!

Recently we replaced our failed motherboard with a new one. On the old system we had license idrac enterpice. After replacing we entered service tag from old system(motherboard). When trying to imporrt a license we got an error - "LIC016: The feature dependencies of the license are not met."

What do we have to do to have an enterprise license?

Hello,

The iDRAC license is tied not only to the Service Tag but also to the system board identity. Even if you set the old Service Tag, the old license XML won’t match the new board, which causes LIC016 (dependency / mismatch error) Right now I can't access to the tool to regenerate a license. However I can recommend contact Dell support with your service tag and they will try to help with it.
