E810-XXVDA2 PCIe issue with my R6515 10 Bay NVMe server
Hi guys,
Kindly looking for some support with an issue I'm running into with my R6515 10 Bay NVMe server. I'm utilizing an Intel E810-XXV Dual Port 10/25GbE SFP28 PCIe adapter (CD16M) and running into some errors. Typically happens when PXE booting fails. "A bus fatal error was detected on a component at slot 2. Tue Jun 25 2024 19:35:52
A fatal error was detected on a component at bus 192 device 1 function 1. Tue Jun 25 2024 19:35:52 "
It halts booting on reboot which is a problem since it requires someone to log in and press a key to continue. So even just a workaround to not make it halt during boot would be a start. Your thoughts?
Thank you!

Hi,
I did some research, CD16M Intel E810-XXV seems not supported by R6515. The only E810 support is 6J1N1 https://dell.to/4cjDCus
I'm unsure if CD16M would work. Have you already have the iDRAC, LCC and NIC firmware up to date? If yes, I can't think of any other solution than to turn off the F1/F2 prompt on error, but this will disable all error on prompt. https://dell.to/3Vxw9AQ

22.5.7 does appear to be the latest for that platform, but as Joey specified before, the CD16M card isn't supported on the R6515, so please be aware we can't attest to what the card will do or how it will function.

Hi Joey,
Appreciate your feedback. I checked the latest NIC firmware and its 22.5.7 . Would you be able to confirm that this is the correct version to use?
Thank you : )
