Hello,

E1410 failure can be caused by a number of reasons. The E1410 message code indicates that there is an internal error (IERR) in the processor, but that doesn't always mean the CPU is the problem. There are a wide variety of issues that cause IERR besides the CPU.

One of them is interesting that if there is an Optical Drive with part number K262D on the server, it could be the cause. Can you check your optical drive if it's the same part number and it might be fixed if you remove it?

You can try min2post to help you understand what's causing the problem. Other components need to be checked if it works in minimum configuration. otherwise, motherboard replacement may be required. If you do, you can add one component at a time to help you identify the fault. If there is no change, the problem will most likely be caused by one of the components required for POST.

Minimize the system to POST with the following components:

System board
Processor (with cooler) in socket 1
Two memory sticks in memory slots 1 and 2
1 power supply
Control panel (to turn on the system)
Lateral plane
Both PCI risers; PCI-e in middle slot, left slot (PCI-e or PCI-X)
Make sure all USB devices including keyboard and mouse are disconnected.

Let us know if it helps.

Hi,

Sorry to hear that. What you can do is take it to a minimum to post configuration to isolate the issue. Power down the server and open the cover. Then remove everything but the following from the server;

System board

Risers

Processor (CPU1) with Heatsink

Power Supply

One stick of memory in DIMM slot A1

Control Panel w/cable

After everything else is removed then power up and see it passes POST. If so then place each item removed back in the server, one by one and then power up and see which one causes it to fail POST and that is your cause.

If you are able to restore everything and the server still POSTs then the issue was probably a bad connection.

Let me know how it goes.
