EMS AutoStart Agent missing in services list

Hi all-

We recently to break the mirror between 2 servers to rebuild one of the serves to try and repair a bad HDD (b/c of bad sector where a 3rd party application is installed). We have suceeded in braeking the mirror and rebuilding the bad server but our next step is to actually put the server it back into AutoStart and re-sync the drive late tonight. I will provide as much information as possible.

* 3rd party software running within the EMC environment: Security Management System running on SQL 2000

* High Availability software: / EMC AutoStart version 5.2
* (2) Dell Server Configuration

Windows 2003 Server SP2 with SQL 2000

Drive C:\ - Windows OS, Security App, Microsoft SQL Server and EMC software

Drive D:\ - Security App & SQL Server database files (mirrored drive)

Server primary name: Nimrod
Server secondary name: Cabarrass

Nimrod has a bad sector in Drive (D) where the log files reside for teh Security App. The server runs fine and I see no real issues other than NTFS errors when the Security App tries to write to the log files. However, we were unable to upgrade the application and database due to being unable to access the log file folder. Night before last we took the damaged server out of the EMC domain and left the system running on the other server while we rebuilt the damaged drive.

Where we are now, is tonight we are to join the damaged server back to the EMC domain. What i have noticed today is that on the damaged server that we just finished maint on...the EMC AutoStart Agent is missing in the list of Windows Services. What i found wierd is that if you go to add/remove programs...it is listed there. This doesnt seem right to me. Anyone else seen this before? or does this seem normal to you?
