Maximum site depth (20) has been reached!

Dear Members,

I'm on the midst of planning replication among 12 sites. We'd like to replicate office files in a circular manner, with a dedicated server in the middle.

This is the concept:

ServerA is the HQ server, ServerB and ServerC, D, E, F.... are branch office servers. It is required to replicate a folder among the 12 servers in a way that no matter where a change occurs it gets replicated to the other two server.

I've create a specification on ServerA that has all other servers as destinations.
I also created another specification on ServerB that replicates changes to ServerA only as the destination.
While creating the third specification on ServerC that would replicate the folder to ServerA only as well I got the above error message: maximum site depth reached /describing some sort of infinite loop between serverA and serverB/

Searching the dox/kb/forums for this message didn't produce any explanation..
Do you guys have any idea what this mean and why it occurs?

Despite the message Replistor allows me to create that specifiaction. Afterwards I tested the setup and it beautifully does its job as expected: modifying a file at any node gets replicated to all other nodes. I'm just worried that i'm missing some criteria for circular mirroring..

Thanks in advance,
Balazs

I do a lot of Autostart/Replistor installs where I have to go back and forth. I see this message quite often and have always ignored it. That's going for the past 3 years.
