Replistor SMB Edition - Exchange 2003 How-To???

Hi, Can anyone point me to documentation or tell me hot to use Replistor SMB with Exchange? The admin module shows how to install (done) but then no instructions as to what's actually happening, how to test, what you need to do on user computers, how to fail back etc.

The SMB Exchange module is not the same as the Full version so I don't know what instructions apply here (no VSS, no use of aliases possible etc)

Any help or experiences appreciated

Disappointingly SMB offers NO MEANS of failing over to an alternate exchange server. The purpose of including an exchange module leaves me baffled as it is useless.

I am also unsure why the SMB version ships with the Exchange module, especially when there is no Alias in this version.

In any event, the module is only at version 1.x and comes with a lot of limitations.
You would want to follow the v2.x module installation steps in order to do failover with RepliStor and Exchange.

It is still possible to accomplish failover with RepliStor and Exchange without using an Alias. It is just that the automation of the failover is removed and it becomes a manual proces.

Look for the Exchange Module Admin Guide and the Best Practices for v2 of teh module in PowerLink. It desribes the install process.
