Some questions regarding SCG

Hi,

I have some questions regarding SCG.

1. Is it possible to get a trial Access Key and Pin to test SCG just to familiarize myself with the interface, etc.?

2. We are setting up SCG and will connect it to VxRail. We do not want Dell to have the ability to connect to the system automatically without our approval. Do we need to set up a Policy Manager in addition to this? Or is it the case that Dell cannot automatically connect when we configure it to use SCG?

3. When sending data to Dell, is it possible to anonymize it so that customer-specific data is not included or is replaced with other words, such as hostnames?

Thanks for reply

/R

Hello,

Please find my answers below

But if you have additional queries of such nature, I’d suggest you direct the questions to a Sales Consultant.

Unfortunately, not, officially, you will still need to have a valid Dell Business Account to generate an actual

If you want to get familiarized with the interface, we have an SCG instance set up at our Demo Center.

You will need to have a Dell Customer Account.

Setting up a Policy Manager would meet your needs and requirements on this

.           Feel free to refer to the Policy Manager 5.x for Secure Connect Gateway User's Guide

Yes, there is an option in in the SCG UI under Settings à Telemetry Settings à Customer & device data privacy

            You can choose to disable
