SourceOne Email Archives on Data Domain?
Does it make much sense to store email archives created by SourceOne on Data Domain? A couple of thoughts:
1. Are the S1 archives already compressed?
2. Will there be more deduplication done by the DD to the archives to the extent that it would make putting the archives on the DD beneficial?
Your thoughts appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric

Are the S1 archives already compressed?

With the release of SourceOne 6.6 SP1 EMC made changes to the product which will provide a different configuration option when using Data Domain as the archive target. The content will not be seperated from the message when the Data Domain Storage System Container storage type is selected.
