No Audio when playing DVDs

Question

When I try to play a DVD, I get picture but no sound.  The sound plays in all other programs but not with DVDs.  This is a new problem as I used to be able to have sound.  Doesn't matter which player I use either, windows media player, Power DVD, media center, etc. Any suggestions?

Reinstall PowerDVD. The problem is most likely that one of your codecs has lost its way. It's there but you need to reinstall the program to re-associate it.
