Still cannot burn!

Thank you to those who replied to my message about not being able to burn. I am able to burn the information onto a blank cd, but when i go to play it on my home cd player it sounds scratchy. what is going on and is it something that i can get around or will i not be able to use my burner for making music cds? HELP!

Hi!  I'm right there with ya.  I have been trying the tech line and here - with no luck.  Tech line is absolutely useless.  If you get yours figured out please post it - we have similar problems.  I will do the same

Good luck to you!!

This is really an audio problem and most regular computer techs are not very savvy in this area.

Let me ask a few questions first.  It isn't clear whether you are playing your tracks in a regular CD audio player or an MP3 player, so could you say which? Tell us as much about the player(s) as you can.

What SW application are you using to record with?

Are you using CD-R or CD-RW blanks? Which brand?

How are you burning your tracks : (1) 'directly' from an audio CD  (2) from  WAV file(s) already on your HD, or (3) from  MP3 or WMA file(s) on your HD? If it's (2) or (3), where did you get the files from?

What speed are you burning at?
