Hi Jan Enkidu:

What country do you live in?

According to JohnDoeTheDellUser's 11-Mar-2026 post in peterjmck's topic SupportAssist they avoided the following SupportAssist installation error ...

"Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture or the neutral culture. Make sure "Dell.SupportAssist.Client.SupportAssistInstaller.Resource.en_GB.Resource.resources" was correctly embedded ..."

... by temporarily changing their language / regional formats to English - United States (en-US) in their Windows settings.

Contact Dell GHN (Get Help Now) chat technical support Monday through Friday. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private Service Tag with them so that they can verify the ownership and warranty status. This will also generate a unique Technical Support case for your unique Service Tag.

Our users need more data before they can correctly troubleshoot.

* What Dell computer model?
* What operating system?
* Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 8.0.x. is the current prerequisite for SupportAssist 4.8.x
* Try to install Support Assist from this link

I don't understand. You guys have published a faulty software and I need to chat with a technical support? Does not make sense to me at all. Have you read what I've written? Are you trying to convince me to go buy a mac?

We Forum Liaisons and users can only offer limited support. Which is what I did.

To generate a unique Technical Support case tied to your unique Service Tag, you must go through GHN Technical Support.

Hi Jan Enkidu:

I am glad to hear that JohnDoeTheDellUser's 11-Mar-2026 suggestion <here> to temporarily change the language / regional formats to English - United States (en-US) in your Windows settings allowed you to install SupportAssist, but that is really a temporary workaround and not a true solution.  I agree with you that this is something Dell should investigate further.***

AFAIK the link you used to download the installer is not the issue. I downloaded fresh copies of SupportAssistinstaller.exe from the direct download link you used at https://downloads.dell.com/serviceability/catalog/SupportAssistinstaller.exe as well as the SupportAssist home page on both the Dell United Kingdom - English (en-UK) site at https://www.dell.com/en-uk/lp/dt/supportassist-for-home-pcs and Dell Polish (pl-PL) site at https://www.dell.com/pl-pl/lp/dt/supportassist-for-home-pcs.  The Powershell command in the Siemens article How do you determine the SHA-256 or SHA-512 checksum of a file? gave the identical SHA-256 hash (EA662A4FBE1FD47972F8684736721A9C67E441592161BBAFDB23795D2E8F2B54) for all three .exe installers so they all seem to be identical.

NOTE: The version number of all the SupportAssistInstaller.exe installers I downloaded today are v5.0.0.2274, not the v4.10.7.1742 installer I downloaded a few weeks ago.  That could indicate Dell is starting to push out an upgrade for SupportAssist and that the new installer has some bugs in it.

You didn't mention what "central Europe" country you reside in, tough, so I'm guessing that could be at least part of the problem, especially if English is not an official language in your country.

*** If your computer (or any of the Dell computers owned by one of your customers in the UK that has the same problem) is still under warranty you can contact Dell customer support directly as employee DELL-ChrisM2 suggested <above> by clicking the blue "Get Help Now" button located in the bottom-right corner of each page of this forum.  This will start a Live Chat session, and after you type in a brief summary of your problem the automated Dell-Cares chat bot will ask for your email address and the unique Service Tag of the affected Dell computer.  Once it confirms the computer still has a valid service warranty it should connect you to a live customer service rep.
