DMX Bit settings for VMware VCB Proxy ?

I'm trying to get Vmware's VCB product up and running, but am having severe performance issues when

reading from the DMX via the VCB proxy (Win2003). The VSphere lun is recognized, but access speed is pitiful.

I also have a Tier III Sun array on the same SAN. Speed is not an issue when accessing VSPhere luns on this

slower array, so the issue definitely seems to be DMX configuration.

I'm suspecting port bits, but can't find any definitive information to confirm.

The Vsphere luns have the following bits set :

VCM, Common Serial,Unique WWN, Init Point to Point, Auto Neg, scsi3 and spc2.

When I zone the windows proxy to the Vsphere luns, the Windows box can see them just fine, but performance is the issue.

Does anybody know if any changes need to be made to the VSphere FA port bits to allow the WIndows server to access the

Vpshere luns ??

Many Thanks in advance.

Stu

E-Lab also lists OS2007 flag for DMX3/4. Not sure if that will make any difference. How's slow is the transfer rate ? Can you run symstat against your vSphere devices while you are trying to back them up.
