Dell Venue 11 pro
Which anti virus do you use? I currently had the preinstalled McAfee just expire on me since it was 30 day trial, just wondering for others out there r you using the windows defender or Norton, I did had Norton installed earlier but it caused the system to slow down a lot its problems with Norton becuz it slows the PC happens on my desktop also. Currently ī have avast free version. Anyone use the same or what do u guys use or recommend.

I'm using Windows Defender included in Windows 8.1. As I understand it now includes antivirus protection. Not sure if it's as robust as the others but I will not install more bloat ware like Norton or Mcafee.

I didn't know I serious windows was just spyware I thought. Let me conform is so I'm uninstalling avast

How did you guys manage to uninstall MacAfee? The last time I tried, the un-installer window that popped up had buttons that displayed off screen, so I couldn't advance the un-install process!

i used revo uninstaller, took care of real good.

For McAfee I went to program files, uninstall and it did everything from there,

Thanks. Tried it again and was able to uninstall without any off the menu items being offscreen. As a bonus I appear to have regained significant disk space. MaCaffee seems to be something of a space hog on these tablets, and with only 64Gb of free space, that's a big deal to me.

Yeah weird issue, I'm having where I install so a program and after uninstall it leaves the icons and empty folders. I'm also having that issue. I tried installing cc cleaner but same result.

Normal uninstall will not remove it completely.
It's a known problem and after using uninstall in control panel you still need to download their removal tool and use it.
That will remove it completely (download link below).
http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
