can't receive performance data from vCenter

Hi.

I'm starting using vFoglight to monitor my vCenter, and i can't receive performance data from vCenter.

I hava installed vFoglight 6.6.1 on a Windows7 host. My vCenter is installed on a virtual machine, and the OS is Windows Server 2003. I hava installed agent manager on vCenter host. I deployed VMWarePerformance package to the vCenter host and created an agent. The agent is active and collting data. But on the VMware environment dashboard, i can't see any performance information. There is only one Virtual Center with no performance data, and no ESX hosts or Virtual Machines are found.

I wonder if i have to deploy other cartridges or there is something i didn't config correctly.

Can anyone help me?

It is clear now that i have the same problem like SOL87716, my vmware host is using Chinese language.

vFoglight is a standalone pruduct, it means there are no single cartridges for download.

I connected the support enginner and opened a support case, then i received a legacy vmware agent 5.5.8.1.

After i installed it on my vmware host, i can receive performance data now.

Regards.

Could you please try

- deactivate the agent

- change the port to 443

- activate it

This would be something to open a support ticket for, they are EXCELLENT, and are likely to be able to look at your configuration and quickly get you back into production.

Have to wonder, did you really install the FMS on a desktop operating system?

Hi, i have tried, and got an error: An unexpected error occurred while connecting to the VirtualCenter. Please review your agent configuration to ensure proper connection information has been entered.

I install FMS on a virtual machine with 8GB of memory and 4 CPUs. It's no my production environment.

Hi. How may i create a support case? By select the "vFoglight Support Information" while create a new discussion?

We will need to look into your vCenter environment. Please create a support case.

go to https://support.quest.com/Default.aspx

You'll need to register, then you can go to case management, and submit a support case.
