filtering machinenames within a vFoglight (6.5) rule-condition

hi...I have a question regarding the filter opportunities due to a machinename. my goal is to send for example capacity alerts from machine XXX to admins and machine YYY to development and admins.
It seems that I am too stupid to create a valid syntax within the condition. Can someone help?
cheers, Patrik

Although not overly complicated this needs fair amount of customization and the key being to filter based on name or something to decide some logic between the groups. usually these types of customizations are handled by our PSO group however I am not sure to what extent you went with your efforts. I would suggest to open a support case so we can gather information and go from there.

Hello Patrik,
I realize it is over a month old post but since I did not see any replies just wanted to find out if you were able to get it to work or not.

Hello,
i think a good way is to build "services" which include the XXX VMs and other that incluse the YYY VMs.
It is easy to do this:

In this case i build a "service" over all VMs which begin with "AppSpeed". After this you can build a Rule to take a action with this service. Service is here only a easy way to build grous of opjects (here VMs).
I hope this helps a little bit.

Hi...unfortunately I have not found a solution yet. But to be honest, I did not spend a lot of time with it :-\
Do you have any update on this?
Cheers, Patrik

We had a similar need an d found it frustratingly difficult to configure these alerts with vFoglight 6.1. We built services for each of our sites and with the upgrade to 6.5 configuring the alerts based on services is even easier. There's now an "Email" action button that you can use to associate email addresses with services. Add the address once and any alerts generated are sent to that address without having to make any changes to the rule definitions.

Hi...yes, the service stuff is nice, especially with this new email action, BUT :-) then I have to adjust all other rules which are fireing the not "pre"qualified emails right?
