tunning Rules and Notifications foglight 5.5.8

Hello,
I am new to Foglight. Currently I have included in Foglight 5 Oracle databases of which 4 are in rac and one stand alone, on the other side 8 SQL Server instances. Every day I get more than 10,000 alarms from critical alarms and warnings. I would like to make a paragraph tunning Rules and Notifications to only display important alerts. Is there any document for this?

Deputy report alarms a day

Thank you very much. greetings

While some rules indicate problems that are more serious than others, all of the out-of-the-box rules have value. There is no list of rules that is recommended to be disabled or modified to make the alert system more efficient.

If your environment is triggering more alerts than you can deal with at the moment, the best recommendation that I can offer is to turn off all rules that are not associated with alerts you deem "important". Once you have addressed the important problems, you can re-enable other rules so that you can steadily improve the health of your databases. Please post if you have questions about specific alerts or rules.

I'd also recommend that you post any follow up messages to the Foglight Community, as this vFoglight forum is focussed on monitoring virtualization.

One approach you can use is to disable all out-of-the-box rules, then re-enable the rules you care about one at a time.

Trank you Brian,

But what I wonder is the list of rules that can be disabled or modified to the alert system more efficient.
