HJT log from K_Detti

Hi,

My 3 months old computer has become annoyingly slow over the past about two weeks. It seemed like it was freezing up all the time...Yesterday one of my friends advised me to uninstall skype because in the task manager it said it was using about 113,000K of memory!!! Which is almost like half of the memory I have on my computer, according to what he said. So anyway, I uninstalled it, and now it's somewhat better. But still pretty slow...I just run hijacthis, if you could please help me what to do, I would appreciate it.

Thanks a lot!

Detti

Boot into Safe Mode and then Check /Fix Checked the following:

No self respecting program installs itself and runs from the Local Settings\Applications folder.  I expect you will find a lot of .exe files hiding there.  Delete all or rename them to .txt.

I think this guy also sets himself up as a hidden Scheduled Task so you might want to turn off the Task Scheduler Service until you get rid of it.  silentrunners.vbs from http://silentrunners.org is good about finding it.

Oh my...OK...I forgot to tell you that I really don't know much when it comes to stuff like this...so I guess I really need your help and patience...if you could please tell me everything I need to do step-by-step, that would be great...and please remember that whatever may be just basic to you, most probably is not like that for me...thanks so much and sorry...but I am really not a computer person...

You will need to print these instructions out.

Get a copy of winsockxpfix.exe before you do anything. This is just a safety
item in case you can't get on the internet afterwards. You don't run it until
afterwards and then only if you can't get back on the internet.
You just run it and things should work OK after it reboots your system.

Start then right click on My Computer and press Manage. In the new window
Service and Applications then Services. In the right pane scroll down and find
the Task Scheduler Service. Double click on it and and then set the Start Type
to Disabled. Then OK.
Also download killbox.exe from
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/killbox.php
and unpack it to your desktop.

Run Killbox and check the Delete on Reboot then put
C:\DOCUME~1\LOCALS~1\APPLIC~1\SENDBI~1\kind tray.exe
in the box where it says Full Path of File to Delete.  Click on the Red button and let it reboot.

Boot into Safe Mode by tapping the F8 key when you see the PC
maker's logo.
Keep tapping until it tells you it is going to Safe Mode or you see the Safe
Mode menu. Select the top option.
Run HijackThis and just do a Scan only. Check then Fix
Checked the following:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.zykobsvdhglqouo.com/yzUXDh98DIfzIaXbrFo/Eu9Fujd2wo9WPXBFNKc0rlWGgJ6co7APpi2VZ7oZcUZU.html
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {4D25F926-B9FE-4682-BF72-8AB8210D6D75} - C:\Program Files\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\1.bin\deSrcAs.dll
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {AF68753B-0D5B-3997-36F9-37F73515C7A7} - C:\DOCUME~1\BERNAD~1\APPLIC~1\32STOP~1\Delete Less.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WAY LICENSE] C:\DOCUME~1\LOCALS~1\APPLIC~1\SENDBI~1\kind tray.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Skype] "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /nosplash /minimized
O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {CD67F990-D8E9-11d2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE} - (no file)

Wait 60 seconds and repeat the scan. Did any of the above come back? IF so
leave HijackThis up and right click on the clock and select Task Manager. Then
Processes. Find Explorer.exe, right click on it and select End Process. The
desktop will disappear but HijackThis should still be there. IF you don't see
it switch to Applications in Task Manager and highlight it there then press
Switch To or just double click on it. Check and Fix Checked the above again.
Restart Explorer by Task Manager, File, New Task(Run), explorer.exe, OK.

Now run killbox.exe. Select Tools, Delete Temp Files.

Reboot into normal mode and run another HijackThis log and send it to me. Let's
see how we did.
