Dell Vostro 3668 RAM Upgrade

Vostro 3668

Vostro 3668

Hey everyone, I want to upgrade the RAM on my Vostro 3668 to 16 GB (Currently has 4GB). In my country, I found a Kingston Fury Beast 16 GB Single Stick RAM which works at 3200MHz. Will this RAM work with my computer?

That RAM is performance RAM and Kingston does not recommend it for the 3668. Also if you want a total of 16 GB and want to have dual channel RAM then purchase a 16GB kit consisting of 2 x 8GB RAM modules. The most compatible RAM is from Crucial and their web page is here. Also 3200 RAM will run at 2400 not 3200 so there is no point in purchasing a higher speed RAM.

I know the 3200 MHz RAM will work at 2400 MHz, so if Kingston Fury Beast is not a good choice, the only Crucial RAM I could find around here is the Crucial 16GB 2666MHz CB16GU2666. Will this work well?

The best RAM for the Dell bios is the Silicon Power DDR4 3200Mhz with JEDEC support ( so it will tune to 2400Mhz and 2666Mhz) Silicon Power actually sources Samsung RAM controllers (Thas what shows up on my CPU-Z).

I've used this kit on my Dell Vostro 5880 with 10th gen i7. The bench mark js were so phenomenal I also bought a second set for my Dell OptiPlex 5060 with 6th gen i7. Again phenomenal bench mark results.
