Vostro compatible USB-c adapters
My new job gave me a Dell Vostro 15 3510 and it has NO usb-c ports. I used an HP laptop at my old job. I have some usb to usb-c adapters but the computer isn't recognizing the input. Just about every dongle I have, docking station, travel monitor, etc is usb-c and none of it works. I can connect 1 external monitor directly via HDMI but I use 3-4 via a docking station. Can anyone recommend how to either get the computer to recognize the usb-c inputs through the adapter or else an adapter the computer will recognize? It's a laptop so I don't think Display Manager works..?

The system should recognize input (mouse, flash drive, etc.) through a simple USB-A to USB-C cable.
However, while that will convert the port format, note that no cable is going to add the same features a USB-C port usually has (particularly video) to a port that doesn't support those features (and note that the 3000 series Inspiron/Vostro systems do not have video out over USB support).
The only native video out support on this system is over HDMI -- you may be able to use a displaylink adapter to drive a monitor as a second output, but if your goal is multi-monitor support, you need a more capable notebook -- this one is not going to give you that, no matter what you use to convert USB-A to USB-C.
