User @ToffenDask is correct. Dell Engineering is working on a permanent fix, which is planned for release by the end of September 2026 (subject to change). Please use the following workarounds:
Option 1: Reinstall DDPM
Open DDPM.
Export your DDPM settings by navigating toSettings > Export Settings, andSavethe file to a known location.
Uninstall DDPM throughSettings > Apps > Installedapps, locateDell Display and Peripheral Manager, and selectUninstall.
Thanks, but RUNONCE in the Registry is exactly that. Only once, and it happens on every boot.
RUNONCE is used mostly by MS. During Update, when it needs a REBOOT to complete the UPDATE, it writes into RUNONCE a file location. On BOOT, RUNONCE is read and if something is there, it executes it. That is how DLL's are updated. You can't write to a DLL on disk as it is mostly open, and on shutdown, the OS writes those back to disk (and other files too). So when booting, the OS look to RUNONCE and executes what it has. When done, that Registry entry is erased.
Chris, went to install it and using Revo Uninstaller to get all the last bits out it out, and I see a program "DELL PERIPHERAL CORE" was installed a DAY later?
Did someone did solve the problem with the automatic startup disabling? It is anoying that it always shows up after reboot.... we need the App to configure the settings for dell Webcams e.g. but do not need it on every reboot...
