Latitude E6510 fails to Shutdown after upgrade to Win10 1803
Hi,
I have a trouble shutting down my Dell Latitude E6510 laptop after upgrade from Win10 1709 to Win10 1803. The Windows "Shut down" command only shuts down the system but not the computer - the fans, led lights, screen backlight etc. remain on.
I disabled Fast Boot and it didn't help. The Bios is updated to the newest version available.
The solutions posted in this thread don't work: https://www.dell.com/community/Windows-10/Solved-Laptop-won-t-shutdown-completely-in-Windows-10/m-p/4624985?pi43397=3. My PC uses i7 Q720 Intel processor for which there's no Intel Management Engine Interface available (there's obviously no point in trying to downgrade it).
Would You have any suggestions?
Thanks a lot.

Well, I'm sad to hear that. I know it's an older PC put till now it was perfectly in shape.

Me2d,
Your system needs Windows 10 drivers. Unfortunately, Dell does not have Windows 10 drivers for the E6510.

Try re-installing Windows with BIOS set to legacy. Worked on my E6410. See my post
