I have windows 8 and i didnt get logged on as a temporary profile, its just when i boot up the computer, only 1 user is there, and theres no arrow at the top to go to the list of other users...
Somehow you set user profile to hidden? To see if you have that issue, go into Control Panel->Folder Options->View>Hidden Files and Folders and select "Show Hidden Files and Folders'. If the profile reappears, go into C:\Users in explorer, right click on the user folder and un-check the "Hidden" box, applying it to all sub-folders and files
I just typed 'C:\windows\system32\netplwiz.exe' into address bar and got this:
If you cant find it means that it was un-installed
What is Netplwiz.exe? Netplwiz.exe, also written as Advanced User Accounts Control Panel, or Netplwiz, is a shared library for netplwiz (netplwiz.dll) and aspnet_regiis.exe -i in computers installed with Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Vista and Windows XP, including 32 bit and 64 bit operating systems. DLL Netplwiz.exe is associated with 26112 system files and most of them are used to execute software programs like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, WEBROOT SecureAnywhere? Essentials 2012 and Mozilla 1.9.1.17.
On the run screen i typed that in exactly, but when i hit enter, i get a pop-up saying "Windows cannot find 'C:\windows\system32\netplwiz.exe'.Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again" What should i do?
-Type RUN on the metro screen. - Type: control userpasswords2 in the text box - Click on the account that was lost. - Change the status of the account to "standard"
What I have read from numerous sources is that what more than likely happened is that your anti-virus deleted your netplwiz.exe thinking it was a virus, Norton is known to do it and a large number of users said this happened to them. Also on another note a user on the system could have deleted/moved the file or disabled it.
Re-download it here and try the Advanced User Accounts Shortcut:

HI John,
I have multiple user accounts in windows 7.
