Windows Vista and unknown "PCI Input Device"

Has anyone with a Dimension XPS Gen 4 upgraded to Windows Vista yet? Device Manager reports an unknown "PCI Input Device" that I can't track down or get drivers for. It's not my standard mouse or keyboard and I'm at a loss to figure out what it is. The only PCI card I have is the SoundBlaster Audigy and that's accounted for. Any help?

I have a Dell 9150. XP Pro reports the same missing driver for a unnamed PCI device.

It may be the game port on your sound card. That's the only thing I can think of as I have the same situation.

You're probably right. I don't have anything but basic sound card functionality--no gameport listed in Device Manager. The Creative drivers are old but still the most recent edition.

I had the same problem. My PC is a XPS 9150 with Viiv technology. I turned off the "Intel SpeedStep" in the bios and that did it for me.

XP has Intel Viiv Application whereas no support for this in Vista and XP x64 OS.

Vista and XP x64.....what are they trying to accomplish? There isn't much hardware or software support.

Realplayer no support yet in Vista 64 bit.

PowerDVD 7 does work in XP x64, but installing it requires a few tricks.

Bios: Performance 'Speed Step' and Powermanagment 'Quick Resume' set to off.

I get the same unknown device - on a Dimension 8400.

Reading the earlier posts it sounds like some of you have managed to get the Audigy 2 ZS soundcard working - can someone tell me how please?  I am at a loss, Vista (Vuild 5744) just will not let me install.

Thanks
Iain

Creative has drivers posted that work for the Audigy 2zs.  Just basic sound, you won't get anything but stereo.  I'm running Vista RC 2 x64 with them no problem on installation.  File name is SBAX_PCDVTBETA_US_2_11_0000.
