If you are connecting primarily through AOL dial-up, you really have no reason to use a software firewall. You are already connecting through the AOL server, which gives you inherent security. Firewalls are primarily for "always on" connections, such as cable or DSL.
If you're running AOL 5 you will have to add the IP ranges of AOL DNS servers into ZA's zones. You can get this by writing down the IP # blocked by ZA and go to WHOIS to get the range. Whois is here: http://www.kloth.net/services/whois.php . When I was running AOL 5 I had to put 4 different ranges in to connect to the internet. If you're not running version 5 I don't know why this is happening. Does ZA show a specific IP it blocks when you try to go to a website.
