Dell 8950: GPU Clearance Space

Dell 8950

Couldn't find this info in any searches.

Does anyone know the clearance space for GPUs both length and width? Will it fit 3 fans and/or double width?

I already have the specs of the Dell GPUs but they are two fan models. I want to know if I could fit a 3 fan GPU. I was specifically looking at either the AMD 6900XT or the 3090 in a 3 fan model.

3090 is  3 slot card taller, wider, too much power spikes over 1000W

evidence of XPS 8940 user validated RTX 3090 model EVGA (3842 3982) which is EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra V2,  it appears to be a 3 fan model.  Dimensions · Height: 5.38 in - 136.75mm · Length: 11.81 in - 300mm · Width: 2.75 Slots

8950 chassis is much deeper than 8940, 427 mm vs 308 mm, and a bit wider too, 173 mm vs 169 mm.  if a three fan EVGA 3090 can fit 8940, should have no problem in 8950 given the latter‘s ~120 mm extra depth or length.

The Nvidia RTX-3090 would not be a good match for the XPS-8950 even if it did fit.

Because of the cooling space and likely the PowerSupply amps
