media graphics card upgrade recommendations for video and photo editing

hello,i'm looking for a recommendation on a graphics card upgrade for my xps 8940.currently i have a nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 ti.i recently purchased a 4k screen and i'm looking into learning more on the video editing in my hobby.first post here,thanks in advance.

For 4K video editing, an RTX 3060 TI, a mid-range nVidia GPU is probably be more than sufficient.

The specifications for XPS 8940 also listed the RTX 3060 TI as the highest supported video card for this system.

Hardware builder for professional graphics creators also recommended the 3060 TI as a good performer for mid-tier cards.

@Chino de Oro​ thank's.i recently upgraded ram and had no issues.definatly helped my work flow.are there any issues i may run into in order to replace the card i need to look out for.i'll probably go pick one up at bestbuy today as its in stock.

@Chino de Oro​ actually you used to be able to configure the system with a 3070 which would have been the highest GPU you could install. 

You can actually install an Rtx 4060 Ti 16 GB (don't bother with the 8 GB version) and it uses 50 watts less than the Rtx 3060 Ti.  160 Watt Power Draw for the RTX 4060 Ti 16gb

Or you can install a RTX 4070 NON Ti and it pulls 200 watts the same as the RTX 3070 Ti's power draw.
