try a USB wireless dongle as a test wlan#2 for this XPS8700. If wlan#2 has no disconnect issue then consider using that instead of built in older miniPCIe wlan. If still dropping then issue is w motherboard or Windows. Do a clean Windows 10 install to test

Windows 10 and Windows 11 are very good at recognizing the installed hardware and installing proper devices drivers. If you are having issue with the wireless card performance and wanting to try different driver, here is the wireless card driver from Dell for your XPS 8700 https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=5tjf1&oscode=wt64a&productcode=xps-8700
