SR failed and now I get a black screen after login with mouse cursor - I can access Task Manager and run my Apps and stuff,

I can't use the option to restore as there are no points. I did chkdsk/SFC/ Scannow etc as well

I did Windows in place upgrade - that fails right at the end.

Systemrestore health command in CMD - no luck

In recovery mode - I did the startup repair - no joy

When I go into Safe mode - same thing - Black screen

Any advice will be appreciated, the last thing I want to do is rebuild the machine.
