XPS 15 9510, dark big spot in the middle
Hello,
my xps 15 9510 fhd+ screen is showing dark big spot in the middle.
i was told by local repair shop that lcd inside screen has to be replaced but they need the screen full reference that can be retrieved only by dsmantling the lcd and that there is risk to damage the frame. Is there a way to know the screen reference from the laptop serial number? Is it safe to change the lcd only or we have to replace the whole top ?

One or more of the LEDs in the backlight has failed. If the system has a touchscreen, you will need a complete assembly. If the screen isn't a touch panel, it should be possible to replace just the LCD panel.
