XPS 15 9570, using without battery?
Can the XPS laptop be used with the internal battery removed, just plugged to AC? If not, is there a trick/hack to make it possible?

Unless some other component is faulty, the system will run just fine on AC only, without the battery (if the battery is known to be dead, make sure it's removed -- a dead battery can prevent powerup).

@ejn63 Thanks, that's good to know. My XPS 9570 battery is a bit swollen and is already exerting pressure on the touchpad, making it stiffer. I'm discharging the battery and will later remove it. My laptop will be lighter to carry and the touchpad will be responding as it should :-)
UPDATE: I just removed the battery, it's working perfectly fine with AC alone, thanks

I have a similar issue with my xps at the moment. Before I plan to remove my battery, the pc stopped while I was using it. I removed the battery afterwards but it hasn’t come up. After a few hours, the power button indicator is showing with the battery and ac charger plugged in but not yet booting yet. What could be wrong?
