I have solved this issue and I comment because I don't want someone else to have to go through this. 1) Run a general update via the Dell website 2) Sadly (or at least this happen to me) the thunderbolt is not going to get the update so you have to go back to the Dell website and look for the Firmware , Driver and software and update all of them. For some reason when I looked for them using the tool of auto identification only the Driver showed up and it took me longer to finally get the whole update. This is the link to get the drivers: https://www.dell.com/support/home/uk/en/ukbsdt1/product-support/product/alienware-17-r3/drivers In my particular case my computer is from Mexico and apparently the driver updates were not available in that support site but Dell detected that my computer was not from the UK and just sent me to the latin american website.
