With an SSD as the system drive, there is no need for caching to an mSATA drive. The mSATA caching provides an advantage over the time it takes to retrieve data from a mechanical hard drive, but obviously not as compared to another solid state storage device.
Your current setup running in AHCI mode with the operating system on the SSD is the ideal configuration for your laptop. You could use the mSATA drive for some storage, I suppose.
