RE: CPU/GPU temperature Dell Inspiron 15R (7520)
Does the system temperature rise only while playing games or while using other applications as well?
Update the system BIOS. The link is http://dell.to/18tq0bD.
Note: Before updating BIOS please ensure that
Battery is 10%> charged
Battery charger should be connected
No external devices (flash drives, printers, external hard drives) should be connected.
All other programs should be closed and documents saved.
Also, try cleaning the air vents of the system by performing these steps:
- Check the vents on the computer to see if they are covered with dust and not allowing heat and air to pass through.
- Turn off the System.
- Unplug the AC Adapter
- Remove the Battery
- Blow air into the vents to remove dust and debris
Note: You may use can of compressed air or a blower. When using compressed air can, follow the directions printed on the can as incorrect use can cause damage to the computer.
Please refer to the Service Manual of this system for instructions on assembling and dis-assembling the hardware components. Follow the 'Safety Guidelines' listed on the manual to help protect your computer from potential damage and to help ensure your own personal safety.
The link for the manual is http://bit.ly/ZOOS9j.
Also, share the operating system installed.
Keep me posted with the results. I will be glad to assist you further.
