Hola.Soy de Argentina.  Mi jefe se compro en eeuu una dell inspiron 5559 bios revision 1.2.1. Al poco tiempo entro a andar lento. y fallar la bateria, Como no iba a viajar hasta alla para repararla, . la dejo a un costado y adquirio otra. pasando el hdd a la nueva. esta caduco la garantia.  me la dio a mi. le intente poner mi ssd pero me pide un password  bajo el codigo<Service tag removed> .Queria saber de donde obtengo dicho password.  asi la puedo probar y en caso de funcionar adquirir la bateria.  O me recomiendan ni preocuparme y tambien descartar la laptop?  Muchas Gracias

OK, first the code you posted is the service tag number. For your security and safety please do not post service tag numbers.

Now if I understand correctly when you try to boot the system it asks for a password, correct? That BIOS password (I believe it is from the computer your boss gave to you) can only be obtained either from your boss, if he knows it,or from Dell. And you would have to call Dell tech support and provide proof that you own the system. That might involve having your boss talk to Dell and transfer ownership to you. The details are below.
