Thanks. I submitted the request for an exchange. An interesting tidbit of info when asking about the refurbished exchanged monitors.... 03/24/2014 05:24:50PM Agent (Clark Air BaseSMB US DIV_ Bria): "Don't worry most of the replacement that we sent are brand new they are just tag as refurbished to comply on the US law that all the system that was open from the box even just for testing purposes Only are considered refurbished"

I turned my PC on this morning and after a few seconds the monitor went dark. I purchased the monitor a couple months ago. I am using an nvidia geforce GTX 690 with the latest drivers. I am connected via display port U3014 to GTX 690. I have daisy chained a U2410 monitor to the U3014 display port out. Both monitors went dark (because the U2410 is connected to the U3014).  I have a second U2410 connected straight to my video card. it still works fine. Both U2410s  work when plugged directly into the video card. I tried a different display port cable to the PC. Nothing changed. I tried the display port on the video card with another monitor and it worked fine. Windows will not detect display port from the U3014. Windows will detect DVI from U3014 to DVI port on video card, but U3014 menu buttons will no longer bring up the OSD to switch inputs so nothing ever displays on the U3014. I tried to perform the monitor self test (by pressing monitor buttons 1 and 4). Nothing shows up on the screen. It does not even look like the U3014 backlight is turning on. The power LED remains on when plugged in.  I also unplugged all of the video cables from the back of the montior, reconnected the power cord. I can't get anything to display on the U3014 including the OSD. The monitor buttons do not do anything. Do I need to exchange this monitor? How do I set that up? I am also concerned with getting a refurbished product. I have not had this screen for very long and waited about a year to purchase it so that I would get a brand new A03 monitor from the factory. I don't want to receive a crummy refurbished one with an A03 sticker on it and dead pixels. I have heard horror stories about some of the exchanged units. I am not happy I have spent over $1000 on this monitor and worried about what I will receive if I have to exchange it. Please help me. The U3014 is a great product when it works correctly. Thanks
Thanks
Thanks Chris. What's special about Jan 10?
I would appreciate it. Thanks

Chris, Are we guaranteed to receive a brand new A03 monitor when ordering directly through Dell yet? I have only seen one post so far with someone that got an A03. Thanks

Kevin, I appreciate the information on your monitor. Do you happen to play Diablo 3? I wonder how dark games like that look with the backlight bleed... Are games playable in Normal mode (not Game mode) or is there too much mouse lag? Typically Game mode has the worse colors. Thanks!
How's the monitor? Is it perfect except  for the corner backlight bleed? How bad is the bleed?
Last update from Chris on getting a new A03 is end of October
You are correct that is has A03 firmware, but the point is that Dell is not selling brand new A03 monitors yet. You can only get an A03 through an exchange which gives you a refurbished monitor.
Evrae, what you got is a refurb monitor with an A03 sticker on top of the original monitor revision. New A03 monitors are not released yet.
Thanks for the update. I will check back around then.

Chris, is there any way you can get a better ETA on A03 shipping? It's frustrating that everyone that gets asked at Dell has a completely different answer  when there is a bunch of people (myself included) waiting to give you our money for a brand new A03 monitor. We realize it is not your fault, just frustrated. Thanks
Anybody get a brand new A03 yet?
Thanks Chris
I would also like to know if the chat rep is correct that we can now order new A03 monitors. Chris, do you have an update based on what the chat rep indicated?
Appreciate the response. If the backlight bleed is within manufacturer specs then this issue would not be fixed then, correct? Just looking for clarification before I make my decision on this monitor... See more...

Chris, I have been following the U3014 since it was announced back in February and the last issue keeping me from buying one is the backlight bleed that is severely worse then the U3011. In this thread: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3529/t/19513942.aspx you stated that the issue was escalated to the manufactruer a few months ago. What is the lattest update on the issue? Will the next monitor revision (A04) fix this problem? Thanks
DELL-Chris M,  Please clarify the post from MRMXYZPTLK1. This will help me make my decision on whether I purchase this monitor once A02 is released. Thanks
