Wow. Support have just phoned me and they have managed to cancel my order for the 32bit version and they have changed my order so I am able to now order the 64bit version.  Just logged onto the site and paid my £15 P+P. Just need to wait for it to arrive 🙂 Anyone know when dell will actually be sending them out ? Mark

When you order Windows 7, you receive two CDs - one for 32 bit and one for 64 bit.... Yes if you order from Microsoft, No if your waiting for the free Windows 7 upgrade disk from DELL - in that case we're going to get the same disk as what the system was originally built with (even if dell have sent us a different OS in the meantime). Whats wrong is that DELL need to change their upgrade program so the users select which bit type they want sending out (or send us both 32bit and 64bit just like what Microsoft do). I did read the FAQ question: Can I change the version/language of the Dell Windows 7 Upgrade kit? No.  The Windows® 7 operating system version and language that you receive must be the same as the operating system version and language of Windows Vista that you purchased with your PC. I would argue that i am not changing the version of the OS as I still need Home Premium but the "bit" change should be possible as per DELL global policy document DSN 158098 I have contacted support and they are unable to help.   😞

Does anyone know how to change their upgrade order from 32 bit to 64 bit ? Mark
