Terry, Yeah- my shortcut is to a batch file that just calls the DDM.exe with the parameters to switch the ports. It's awesome going from my home pc to the laptop. But the docking station is a bigger convenience than having to switch monitors manually. I found out how to change the shortcuts on the monitor inputs, so I've got it down to a two step process, so it's not much worse than before. I know- I'm lazy. 🙂 I just hate reaching across my desk lol. Thanks Terry.

This worked for me on my home PC, but I can't get Dell Display Manager working on my laptop. It's connected via an ePortPlus 2 - Pro2x docking station where both hdmi ports are connected to the mini-display ports on the monitors. Dell Display Manager tells me it can't detect the monitors, although they work fine in all other regards. Any ideas?

Hi. I work from home, have 2 U3014 monitors and a work laptop connected via the e-port plus2 pro2x. Everyhting works fine, but I want a shortcut to dell display manager so I can EASILY switch to my home computer on 1 one of the two monitors.  The shortcut works GREAT on my home PC, but the Dell Display manager on my laptop keeps giving me this error: "This program requires a supported Dell monitor, and connection, and compatible display driver." So, since Dell Display manager is not working properly- the shortcut is not working either. Can this work? I hate that it takes me 15 steps to switch monitors every time I want to switch computers. It was annoying before with my old monitors when I just had to click the correct input source button. 🙂 This is intolerable.
I just got a new Latitude E6530. Shocked when I put it in the E port plus and only a VGA monitor was detected (and not my monitor via Disaplyport / DVI). Found another thread here: http://community... See more...
I just got a new Latitude E6530. Shocked when I put it in the E port plus and only a VGA monitor was detected (and not my monitor via Disaplyport / DVI). Found another thread here: http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/256249-e6530-w-e-port-plus-connected-u2410-monitor ... that suggested same workaround. However - it's not working for me because after I disable Optimus in the BIOS and re-install the NVidia drivers- the machine bluescreens. Although- I didn't try Custom... clean install. Going to try that now.
