Hi We are trying to login to the vCenter Plugin for VM Backup and Recovery Interface as administrator We cannot login . The message we get is: Unable to connect to the Requested Networker Server. Please verify the server is running Networker server is 9.2 version and has 2 NICs: one in the management network and other in the backup network. We have had a lot of issues installing this plugin First, the installation only looked for the plugin in C:\ disk and our Networker installation disk is located D:\ disk. We plugin installation wasn´t working propertly and finally the installation was made taking down the backup NIC. Now, the login to the plugin only works if we take down the backup NIC in Networker Server, again. DNS resolution works propertly. We think is a communication issue between Networker Server and VCenter through this plugin Any suggestion? Thanks

Hi, We have an Exchange group configured with the dag client to backup Exchange App. When the backups starts the cpu load in the servers is very high and we need to decrease the client parallelism. We have change client parallelism from 4 (default) to 1 in the dag client, but the number of save set running at the same time seems the same. How can decrease parallelism of Exchange save sets? Thanks.

Hi, We are planning upgrade to Networker 9.2. We have found that we can upgrade from 8.2.4 to 9.2 directly. We are using VBA 1.1.3.7 in Networker 8.2.4. Is supported to upgrade VBA directly to VBA 1.5.1.7 that is the compatible version with Networker 9.2? Thanks.

Hi, We are using MTree Replication with DDBoost Storage Units. When you say:   – Backup catalog must be rebuilt on DR site for recoveries from replicated copy do you mean that you have to scanner the replicated copy to recreate client indexes? Is not possible to mount the replicated copy in a storage node in the DR site without labeling it and access the replicated data? Thanks

Hi, We are doing a Oracle Database backup with a RMAN script. In the RMAN script, first the database is backed up to the FRA with a retention of 1 CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY TO REDUNDANCY 1 Then the RMAN scripts sends a database backup to a Networker Pool. In Networker we configure the retention policy to a month in the Pool where the database is backup up Is this a correct way to configure the database retention policy in Networker? Thanks

Hi experts, The DD6300 only supports DDOS 6.0?  What about DDOS 5.7? If it only supports DDOS 6.0, I see in the compatibility matrix that we need Networker 8.2 SP4 or above. The matrix says Networker Component:   Server/Storage Nodes/Client.   So, do we have to upgrade all the components to NW 82.SP4 or later to backup to the DD6300? Thanks.

Hi, I have read  in a kb  ( 000472532) that is necessary to open a RPQ (Request for Product Qualification) for supporting MTree Replication with DDBOOST Storage Units. Is not an habitual configuration?  I was thinking of using it in a new replication implementation Thanks

We are thinking of doing it in a proccess of restoring client index in a migration of the Networker Server to a new host. The networker server has the client indexes in several directories now, not in the default path, because the disk was nearly full. In the restore process we would like to restore to the default index path, so I have tried with one client to set the Index Path empty and then the restore with nsrck -L7 client is done to the default index path:      networker_installation_path/nsr/index/clientname We have tried a restore of a file and it works. So we are thinking in restore all the client indexes to the default path in this manner Do you see any future issue?

Hi, We have a doubt. When we will recover the res directory in the new server, the Capacity Licenses we have will be invalid because the hostid will change. Do you know if there are evaluation enablers for Networker Source Capacity Data Zone ? We can only know the hostid of the new server the same day of the migration.

Hi, We are planning to upgrade Networker server to 8.2.3. We have NMM 2.4.1 installed in some clients. We found that there is a dependency between NMM version-Networker Server version. If we check the matrix I found that Networker server 8.2 or later supports NMM 3.0 and later. So, is mandatory to upgrade NMM 2.4.1 to 3.0 or later before the Networker server upgrade to 8.2.3 to be in a supported version? Thanks in advance
