ReeX, Boot into the bios by starting the computer and tapping F2. Check the Power Management Settings. Below are the Bios Power Management Settings. Also, take a look at the link below for settings. Your hardware will be different but, the other information will be the same. Wake On Lan doesn't work when hibernation is enabled. Power Management This section contains the BIOS Power Management options. Power Management Option Description AC Recovery This option specifies how the system will behave when AC power is restored after aa AC power loss. The settings are Power Off, Power On and Last Power State. Default Setting: Power Off Auto On Time This option sets the time of day when you would like the system to turn on automatically. The settings are Disabled, Everyday, Weekdays or Select Days. Default Setting: Disabled Deep Sleep Control Controls where deep sleep is enabled. The options are Disabled, Enabled in S5 only and Enabled in S4 and S5. Default Setting: Enabled in S4 and S5 Fan Control Override This field determines the speed of the system fan. When enabled the system fan runs at full speed and it could be very loud and noisy. When disabled, the fan controller uses the system environmental data to set the fan at its optimal speed. Default Setting: Disabled USB Wake Support Use the check box to enable / disable the ability for USB devices to wake the system from Standby. Default Setting: Enabled Wake on LAN This field allows the computer to power up from the off state when triggered by a special LAN signal or from Hibernate state when triggered by a special wireless LAN signal. Wake-up from the Standby state is unaffected by this setting and must be enabled in the operating system. This feature only works when the computer is connected to AC. Disabled - Do not allow the system to power on when it receives a wake-up signal from the LAN or wireless LAN. LAN Only - Allow the system to be powered on by special LAN signals. LAN with PXE boot - Allow the system to be powered on by special LAN signals. After waking the system from power-off or hibernate, do a PXE boot. Default Setting: Disabled Block Sleep This option lets you block the system entering to sleep (S3 state) mode in OS environment. When enabled, the system won't go to sleep mode, Intel Rapid Start will be disabled automatically and OS Power option will be blank if it was set to Sleep earlier. Default Setting: Disabled Intel Smart Connect Technology If enabled, the feature will periodically sense network connections while the system is asleep. Smart Connect will synchronize email or social media applications that were open when the system entered sleep state. Default Setting: Disabled

amit800, Below are some things to check. This problem may occur if one or more of the following conditions are true: The batteries that you are using are rechargeable. The batteries that you are using are low in power. The receiver is plugged into a port that is not working. The wireless device that you are using has trouble synchronizing with the receiver. There may be interference from other wireless devices. The color of the wireless pointing device pad is preventing the wireless pointing device from suspending itself. There may be a connection problem in the battery compartment or on the recharge base. To test the quality of the port connection, try the following methods: Connect the device to a different USB port on your computer to eliminate any problems that are associated with a specific USB port. Bypass any port replicators, USB hubs, KVM switches, and similar devices. Instead, connect the receiver directly to the USB port on the computer. Your keyboard and mouse work by sending wireless signals to a USB receiver that came with your setup. This might be a small hub that plugs into a USB port with a wire, a small dongle similar in size and shape to a thumb drive, or a very tiny unit that is barely visible once you slide it into a USB port. Sometimes the receiver gets out of sync with the wireless devices, causing them to stop working. Resyncing the setup is fairly easy. There is usually a   Connect   button somewhere on the USB receiver. Press that, and a light on the receiver should start flashing. Then press the   Connect   button on the keyboard and/or mouse and the flashing light on the USB receiver should stop. Your receiver is now synced with the keyboard and/or mouse. If your receiver does not have a   Connect   button, refer to the directions that came with your mouse or keyboard to find more specific instructions for reconnecting your devices.

mat117, Below is what the Diagnostic LED's 1 and 3 represent on your computer. Memory modules are detected, but a memory configuration or compatibility error has occurred. Ensure that no special requirements for memory module/connector placement exist. Ensure that the memory you are using is supported by your computer. What Is DDR3 Memory? DDR3 continues the evolution in memory technology and provides several improvements to the exsisting DDR2 architecture. The primary benefit is an increase of the I/O bus to operate at 4 times the speed of the memory cell it contains. DDR3 also allows for chip capacities from 512 MB to 8 GB. This ability in effect allows for memory modules of up to 16 GB in size. Memory Configuration   DDR memory can run in dual-channel mode, which allows the system to have twice the memory bandwidth using the same memory technology. Dual-Channel Configurations   To achieve dual-channel performance, the total memory in each channel must be the same. If the channels do not match or if the system has only one DIMM installed, the system memory operates in single-channel mode or in dual channel asymetrical mode. The system works normally in single-channel mode, but the user loses the benefit of increased memory throughput. Dual-channel mode is always present when both memory channels are populated. However, for optimum dual-channel performance, the size of the modules must match. Memory Channels Channel A Channel B BIOS Says Performance DIMM No DIMM Single Channel Single channel DIMM Same as channel A Dual Channel Interleaved Dual channel interleaved DIMM Same as channel A except speed Dual Channel Interleaved (in lowest DIMM speed) Dual channel interleaved (in lowest DIMM speed) DIMM Same as channel A except density Dual Channel Interleaved Dual channel interleaved DIMM Same as channel A except size Dual Channel Asymmetric Single channel No DIMM DIMM Single Channel Single channel Basically, when both DIMM connectors are populated, the system has optimum dual-channel performance unless channels A and B have different amounts of memory. Memory Speeds   Some confusion has been created due to the difference in the actual listings for speed ("MHz") and the way memory is described from a sales standpoint ("PC XXXXXX"). The listings below should resolve any confusion. PC3-6400 = 800 MHz PC3-8500 = 1066 MHz PC3-10666 = 1333 MHz PC3-12800 = 1600 MHz Troubleshooting Memory errors on the system display the new ON-FLASH-FLASH or ON-FLASH-ON failure code. If all memory fails, the LCD does not turn on. Troubleshoot for possible memory failure by trying known good memory modules in the memory connectors on the bottom of the system as well as under the keyboard. As always, follow the instructions in DSN and perform all steps suggested to verify the problem. 4 GB Memory Barrier The Windows® XP release as well as 32-bit versions of Windows Vista can only use a maximum of 4 GB of address space. However, the amount of memory available to the operating system is less than 4 GB. Certain components within the computer require memory address space in the 4 GB range. Any memory address space reserved for these components cannot be used by the operating system. NOTE: This is a limitation of a 32-bit architecture: the system can only address 4 GB of allocated memory. Allocated memory is made up of physical RAM and any I/O space needed by devices. Normally this is not a problem, but when a system has 4 GB of physical memory, the memory addresses needed to map RAM overlap the space needed for the I/O devices. In this case the need for I/O space takes precedence, and the amount of RAM visible to the operating system is limited to 4 GB minus the I/O allocation. More information on the limitation of 32-bit addressing can be found in the Technical Assistance Bulletin (TA1075698) titled "Systems with 4GB of Memory Show Less Memory in Windows." Testing Memory   The easiest way to check for memory problems is to run the Dell PSA+ Diagnostics which include a very robust memory test. If the system does not have PSA+ diagnostics or they are not available, then the MpMemory Test (included with the latest version of Dell 32-bit Diagnostics) is the best testing method. For intermittent problems, try swapping memory modules with another system and see if the problems continue. If no swap is available, then remove one memory module at a time to see if the problems continue. If you can isolate the problem to one module, then try testing the system repeatedly (using one of the tests mentioned above) with only the suspected problem memory module installed.
