If you have a separate video card, "reseat" the card and see if that helps. Reseat - with the PC powered off, open the case and remove the video card, then reinstall it making sure it's fully and correctly seated.
If the video card reseat does not help, boot using the Windows XP CD and then select the "Repair" option. If that completes OK it should restore everything.
